lyrics

People say “there’s a storm coming,
Better gather water and fuel”.
They say when it comes,
It will put out the lights,
And it will be on us soon.
They say, well lose the Sun,
There’ll be no place left to run.
Clouds will cover the whole damn sky,
No time to ask why.

And it’s been coming a long time,
Turbulence, we could have all seen the signs.
Thunderheads rising over this land,
Are going to leave us nowhere to stand.
We all buried our heads,
Now we might choke
With all this shit in our beds.
Are you praying, are you in your heart,
There not much time to start.

And when it comes,
I hope that I am with the people
That I love and they know why.
And when it comes,
I hope that I will stand and pray
To the Earth and the Sky.

Everyday I hear the warnings
of storms on their way.
I don’t know if what I hear is right,
But you can bet that I’ll pray.
And if it’s true and it arrives,
And if, I find a place to hide.
I hope I see the Sun once more,
I hope it’s worth waiting for
I hope it’s there like before.
