Jump 04:58
Walking in the old town Down a dirty street, Or living in the hills With the s tones lying at your feet. Breathing clean air Or moving through grime, All things change Given enough time. Life all over Or barely begun, We all still live Neath the Moon and the Sun. The winds reach the city, As well as the hill And after we’re gone They’ll be blowing still. Jump up and live again. Mortality Is such a small price to pay. For awareness we have Of our living today. And the gift of awareness Is all that we own, And all that we’ve offered Is all we have sown. If awareness has touched you, And you know what I mean, When I say it’s still real, Even if it’s unseen. And didn’t our feet In those ancient rhymes, Walk on the green hills And not in the grime. Jump up and live again. Give jade to the water And flowers to the air. Give a house to the holy So the holy can live there. Give food to the old ones And smoke to the drum. Bright cloth and turquoise As a gift to the Sun. Touch all that you see And all you do not, With a spirit of beauty - I know you have not forgot. Light fires for the living And fires for the dead, Let the feast be prepared And the Spirits fed. Jump up and live again.

New Dance 06:19
The same old dancers came here once, And they danced so fine. The same old dance was danced here once, Throughout time. Same old trance caught us once, Kept us tied. Same old ties bound us once, Believe all the lies. I do not know the new dance, But it’s not how it was. I do not know the new dance, But it’s not how it was. Not this time. Kids they watch the old ones come, And they grow up in their dance. They learn all their steps so perfectly Cos their steps were built to last. They’re tranced, They old before their time, Their spark is sent away. They become what the dancers says, Till the end of their days. I do not know the new dance, But the old one can’t last, I do not know the new dance, But the old one can’t last, Much more time. I saw a new face in the crowd today Which seemed to come from another place. I did not see them look at me, And I did not see their face. Just reflections in their mirror, A glimpse of a new view. No perfect realisation, Just a hunch at what to do. I have a step to a new dance, The old ones lost. I have a step to a new dance, The old ones lost. My daughter, she’s a princess, And yours is just the same. Your son, he is a prince to you, So long may they reign. And if we deeply hold to that, Then why do we accept, The old ones, the old dance, Their music and all of their steps. Teach your kids a new dance, Today’s the day. Seize the day

Arrows 03:48
A Grandfather once told me, It takes a cunning man to really live free. Any fool can work his life, To rent his house, His land, his air and his light. He said don’t act dim, don’t hide your eye. Don’t play their game, don’t buy their lies. Don’t bow your head, like they tell you too And don’t let them put their shame on you He said, I was born on the evening breeze, I was born by the growing trees, I was born neath the shining star, He said, travel on and go far. He said trust the wicked to be their own kind. Trust the beauty you know you’ll find. Trust the Sky, the Earth and the Sea. Trust the spirits all around me. He said, you can tell if your on the right track, By all of the arrows shot in your back. Don’t think they make a heavy load, There just there to point the right road. Never mind them shooting at you, There just there to help you push through. He said the people shooting don’t understand, That an arrow in the back is an helping hand.

I forgot who I am, as I tumbled through my life. Forgot that I was noble, As I walked into my trouble and strife. Forgot to fill my space up, And to walk in my own way. Forgot the things that mattered, Seems like each and every day. But I remembered, I’m not diminished, not me. You’re noble too, oh, don’t throw yourself away. Hold on to that voice that you hear inside, And listen to what its got to say. You can fill up your own space, Each and every molecule. You can own the way that you walk, And the song that you sing is your tune. You’re not diminished, not you. Every beat of your heart, And step that you walk. Can take you down roads, Where the fear stalks. So I praise the artists for walking alone, Down the long road to the unknown. And I praise the dreamer, Who once showed to me. That being small doesn’t set you free. And I praise the darers, Who won to choose life. Who stood in their right size, To give us insight. We’re not diminished, not us.

Walls 03:30
Is your house lacking floor boards Lacking floorboards? Do you walk on beams? Is your life lacking concords Lacking concords? Do you live on schemes? Is your house lacking windows Lacking windows? Do you live sealed tight? Is your life lacking airflows Lacking airflows? Do you live airtight? Are there walls around you? Do they keep you cosy Or keep you tamed? Are the walls of your life missing? Does it make you fearful Or self reclaimed? Is your house lacking roof tiles Lacking roof tiles? Do you see the sky? Is your life lacking shelter Lacking shelter? So you fear you’ll die? Does your house give you safety Give you safety? Do you love your room? Does your life keep you little Keep you little? Within the gloom? Is your house locked from inside Locked from inside? Are you safe and sound? Is your life locked from inside Locked from inside? So you won’t be found? Won’t be found

Mother owned a garden She could make things grow Most things would survive From the things that she would sow She used to tend the soil Giving it all good care So the breath of life Would hang around in there I wonder how her children will grow Time will tell, Time will tell Me, I grow people At least I give it a go I've not lost many And mostly their wounds don't show Me I grow people At least I give it a try And I'll search for one I've lost Though the waters are high I wonder what my children will grow Time will tell, Time will tell Many say they garden But they just don't seem to care They'd rather keep them all malnourished Hungry, in the dark down there Soil can be damaged and Seeds can have a hard time When poisons in the system It's a shame, it's a pity, it's a crime I wonder how their children will grow Time will tell, Time will tell Natures not too tidy and nothing ever grows up the same Diversification is the name of natures game But when a culture grows some people It grows them mostly in a line To keep them all in order And help them fit in just fine I wonder how our children will grow Time will tell, Time will tell

Please pity the vampire Who just can't sleep But spends the days Counting sheep Living in the dark, Not seeing the sun Knowing that their life’s undone Knowing that their life’s undone All the friends they had are gone They are buried in the ground Where they came from Their skin is mud, Their bones are dust And their dreams dissolved, And voices hushed But you’re not in that living death Not scared of life and love and breath So use their thighbone for a trumpet blast And blow away your frightened past Blow away your frightened past So, pity the vampire Who just can't sleep But spends the days Counting sheep Living in the dark, Not seeing the sun Grieving for a life undone Grieving for a life undone

Offerings 09:42
I offer my wine to the Four winds all around me, I offer my wine to the Earth and the Sky above. I offer my wine to the places that are hidden, I offer my wine to the people that I love. I offer my wine to all those who have gone before. Don’t you know, someday I’ll stand on that shore. I offer my bread to the people of the circle, I offer my bread to the spirits of us all. I offer my bread to every one of the night stars, I offer my bread to the harvest standing tall. I offer my bread to all those who have gone before, Don’t you know, someday I’ll stand on that shore. I offer my breath to the people of the mountains, I offer my breath to the people of the dream. I offer my breath to all the swimmers in the ocean, I offer my breath to everyone who is unseen. I offer my breath to all those who have gone before. Don’t you know someday I’ll stand on that shore. I offer my flame to the people of the valley, I offer my flame to the people of the snow. I offer my flame to the lost lands now forgotten, I offer my flame to all the lands that all of us must go. I offer my flame to all those who have gone before Don’t you know someday I’ll stand on that shore.

Words 05:04
With you, the song of life is full, With you, the dance can be of grace and ease. Touching not always an easy thing to do, Oh but, touching can be joyfulness indeed. You, companion, are a dear friend to me, I miss your voice, when you are away. Joy fills me when you have returned, Eager, I long, for that day. Sentiment, is so very easily over done, Too much as tool to use and throw away Words are not the deeds we show the world, They are often, after all, only what we say. These then need be how I live my life, I offer you the friendship of my hand. Both joy and pain is in the cup we drink, Both hard and soft, the place, we choice to stand.

Tumble 05:40
When I was little I'd walk sometimes On the high ground, amidst gusts and crow wings I'd feel the wind, all in my face blowing Making me feel it was a time of kings Like a leaf I tumble, all the way down I tumble, tumble, all the way down Sometimes the wind just fills up my sails Takes me to the awareness of my presence Goes through me, touches at my soul To the heart of me, to my very essence But like a leaf I tumbled, all the way down I tumbled, tumbled, all the way down But like a leaf I tumbled, all the way down I tumbled, tumbled, all the way down One of my hero's sang a song one time About the wind of his soul to which he listened He sat down upon the setting sun While all around him existence glistened And it made him tumble, all the way down He tumbled, tumbled, all the way down At the end of the day at best we're rainbows Refractions of star light bounced from the walls of the cave Here for a moment, just the wink of an eye Stepping on the path from birth to grave And it makes us tumble all the way down We tumble, tumble, all the way down And it makes us tumble all the way down We tumble, tumble, all the way down

You are made of nothing at all Just dust from the stars and nothing more You touch things you which appear to be there But really they're not even movements in air Mirrors and smoke, mirrors and smoke that's all you are We're like ghosts as we live each day Brim filled with emptiness, we pose and display As solid as gas clouds, we think we are real We reach out and touch and think we can feel Mirrors and smoke, mirrors and smoke that's all we are Your are made of nothing at all Just dust from the stars and nothing more How awesome the dream in which we exist How awesome the dream in which we exist Mirrors and smoke, mirrors and smoke that's all we are

You know it’s not about who you are Or about what is your name It’s not about how you might define yourself, truly As all of these things are the same It’s not about the cool people who you like And it’s not about if those cool people like you It’s not about what it was you ended up being Or what it was you wanted to do And it’s not about how much you tried And it’s not about how much you cried And it’s not about how much you thought you understood Or was lost in falsehood and pride And it’s not about anything that you wrote And it’s certainly not about the things you wore Not about how filled up your long, long days Or about who, or what you saw And it’s not about the fancy things that you did And it’s not about the pretty things that you made And it’s not about the juicy facts that you learned Or about how hard, how hard you prayed Because it’s truly not about what you believed And nor is it about how you were deceived It’s not about what you thought it was about If you had faith, or you had doubt Were denied, or received In the end it’s about not being thrown By any illusion which you are shown So that you don’t get swayed By any turbulent wave, On the course you’ve been blown

Water wears down stone Erodes all at hand, Imperceptably slowly, But relentless, to sand. As things all breakdown, As things fade away, As things are revealed, To be merely display. All kings and all princes They soon must make way All things are passing And nothing can stay To the sea I’ll depart, From the sea I’ll arise, In this heartbeat of movement. I swim between skies. Why do I feel sad, Why shed my tears? Why pander to worry, Or dread, or to fears? As things all breakdown, As things fade away, Things are revealed, To have had their heyday. Rich castles and cities, They soon must make way. Both formless and form, They each have their play. To the fire I’ll depart From the fire I’ll arise In this heartbeat of movement I blaze beneath skies Each breath I breath I draw from the air To return it once more To the breath we all share As things all breakdown As things fade away As things are revealed There’s no cause for dismay Night stars and wide oceans They soon must make way The force of all changes It must have its way To the air I’ll depart From the air I’ll arise In this heartbeat of movement I fly beneath skies The touch of my fingers The sun on my face All things are fleeting And leave not a trace As things all breakdown As things fade away The change and the turmoil I can’t keep at bay High mountains and people, They soon must make way. For all things dissolve, At the end of the day. To the earth I’ll depart, From the earth I’ll arise. In this heartbeat of movement, I stand beneath skies.
